Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has welcomed new members joining the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), highlighting the government's development agenda and efforts to extend projects to previously marginalised areas.
Speaking in Maralal, Samburu County, on Saturday, August 1, Kindiki said the transformation of Kenya requires equitable distribution of development programmes and the inclusion of all socio-economic groups in the country's development agenda.
Kindiki said the government was accelerating implementation of projects in roads, electricity, markets, education, healthcare and enterprise development across the country.
He noted that Samburu County had not been left behind in the government's development programmes, alongside other areas that had previously been marginalised.
“As we receive new members into the rank and file of the governing United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party, we take pride in the significant strides made so far towards implementation of the party and coalition manifesto,” Kindiki said.
He linked the government's development agenda to the implementation of the UDA and coalition manifesto, as the ruling party continues to strengthen its political structures ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The Deputy President also welcomed the new members into the party, saying their decision to join UDA strengthened the governing party's national presence.
“Karibuni sana kwa chama cha UDA wenzangu!” Kindiki said.
The remarks come as UDA continues its grassroots mobilisation and recruitment drive across different parts of the country ahead of the 2027 polls.
